Fabian F. Fuchs is an artist from Germany working under the FFF. Growing up in the culture of skate and snowboarding had a deep impact on his later journey. Working as an art and creative director in the innovation lab of a creative agency trained his professional approach to implement high-tech concepts.
After sensing a lack of emotion in the perfect pixel world Fabian F. Fuchs was searching for a way to break free. By exploring analog techniques like illustrating and painting he opened up a new field to his repertoire. This autodidactic process started a chain reaction of exploring other haptic and acoustic tools. FFF’s journey lead him to extraordinary places and experiences with the goal to combine his findings for an audience. The discoveries are transported through different media such as filmmaking, painting and illustration as well as sculptural works with soundscapes.
FFF implements his expertise from various fields in a holistic approach to his projects. Exploring and transporting emotions became the main subject in his latest works. The artist is currently working on self set artistic explorations and very few well selected collaborations.
„All paradise not blue“ a teaser for an open story collaborative film with director Alex Tank.
We’re not living in one world. One truth. One Reality. Growing up in two households I had to learn at a very young age what it means to wander between separate worlds. This experience awakened the urge to explore the mind.
My work process consists of researching vast amounts of information be it news, science, cultural and political topics or even dreams. This is my well of inspiration that eventually flows onto the chosen canvas after a long period of resting in my mind. It’s a very intuitive and physically enduring process. By reaching the state of flow I feel like uncovering invisible worlds. Uncommon situations like self isolation over a long period of time or experiences with strong natural forces help me to brake the barrier into other dimensions.
Since my toolbox is vast I like to connect different media to stimulate new and unseen results in my projects. My materials can vary from big scale canvases to detailed illustration works on paper. I often circle back to using a vibrant blue that is a sensual experience in applying as well as sensual experience to consume as an audience. Filmmaking especially allows me to combine all my fields of work into shaping and encapsulating a momentary emotion. Right now I am working on going back to the root of my professional training. A spatial installation. A light and sound sculpture that allows observers to access a transcendental state of mind. By sharing my discoveries with an audience I start a dialog that is connecting everyone with me and my work in very intimate ways.
The most gratifying moment is when a stranger reveals a meaning in my work that was hidden to my own eyes before …Fabian F. Fuchs
